1. About Macbease
Macbease is a college-focused social media and community platform that enables users to:
- Create and maintain profiles;
- Connect and interact with other users;
- Create and participate in clubs and communities;
- Publish and interact with content;
- Discover and participate in events;
- Create events under organizations, clubs, or communities;
- Create online or offline events;
- Purchase tickets for events;
- Use Google authentication;
- Connect Google services for creating Google Meet meetings for online events.
Our public website, macbease.com, primarily provides information about Macbease and its services, while app.macbease.com provides the platform functionality through which registered users can create accounts, publish content, create or join communities and clubs, and create or participate in events.
This Privacy Policy applies to both websites and the services provided through them.
2. Age Requirement
Macbease is intended for individuals who are 18 years of age or older.
You must be at least 18 years old to create or use a Macbease account.
By creating an account or using Macbease, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.
If we become aware that an individual under 18 has created an account or provided personal data to Macbease, we may take reasonable steps to delete the account and associated personal information.

3.2 Google Login
You may use Google Sign-In to create or access your Macbease account.
When you choose Google Login, Google may provide Macbease with information permitted by the Google authentication process, such as your name, email address, profile picture, and other information necessary for authentication.
Macbease does not receive or store your Google account password.
The information received through Google Login is used to authenticate your account and provide the Macbease service.
Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's own terms and privacy policies.
3.3 Profile and College Information
Because Macbease is designed as a college-focused social platform, you may provide information such as:

- Course;
- Degree;
- Profile photograph;
- Other profile information that you choose to provide.
Some information you add to your profile may be visible to other Macbease users depending on your account and privacy settings.

3.6 Club and Community Information
Users may create or participate in clubs and communities on Macbease. We may collect and store information relating to:

- Community names;
- Club/community descriptions;
- Membership information;
- Administrators or organizers;
- Content associated with clubs or communities;
- Activities performed within clubs or communities.
3.7 Event Information
When an organization, club, community, or authorized user creates an event, Macbease may store information including:
- Event thumbnail;
- Event name;
- Event description;
- Event date;
- Event time;
- Event location;
- Whether the event is online or offline;
- Google Meet information where applicable;
- Offline venue information where applicable;
- Ticket information and pricing;
- The organization, club, or community under which the event is created.
This information is used to create, display, manage, and operate events through Macbease.
4. Google Meet Integration
Macbease provides an optional Google Meet integration for users who create online events.
4.1 How Google Meet Works on Macbease
When you choose to use Google Meet, Macbease may request permission to access the relevant Google functionality required to create a Google Meet meeting on your behalf. The permission request will be presented to you through Google's authorization process.
4.2 Your Consent
Macbease will not automatically request Google Meet authorization simply because you created a Macbease account. The Google Meet authorization is requested when you choose to use Google Meet for an online event.
If you grant the requested permission, you authorize Macbease to use the permitted Google functionality to create Google Meet meetings associated with your Macbease events.
4.3 Automatic Meeting Creation
After you have granted the necessary Google authorization, Macbease may create a Google Meet meeting automatically when you select Google Meet for an online event, subject to the availability and validity of the authorization. This is intended to avoid requiring you to manually create a Google Meet meeting each time you create an online event.
4.4 Revoking Google Access
You may revoke or remove the relevant Google authorization. If Google authorization is revoked, expires, or otherwise becomes unavailable, Macbease may no longer be able to automatically create Google Meet meetings on your behalf. In such circumstances, if supported by the relevant Macbease feature, you may provide a meeting link manually when creating an online event.
4.5 Google Data Protection
Macbease only requests and uses the Google permissions necessary to provide the Google Sign-In and Google Meet creation functionality described above. Macbease does not request, receive, or store your Google account password. Google authorization tokens and related information are securely encrypted and processed solely to provide the authorized features in accordance with industry-standard security and data-protection requirements. Google user data is never sold, shared with data brokers, or used for advertising purposes.
4.6 Google API Services User Data Policy & Limited Use Disclosure
Macbease's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Ticket Purchases and Payments
Macbease may allow users to purchase tickets for events. Payments may be processed through third-party payment service providers, including Razorpay.
When you make a payment, payment information may be processed directly by the applicable payment provider. Macbease may receive and store information necessary to:
- Confirm your transaction;
- Confirm ticket purchase;
- Associate the transaction with an event;
- Provide your ticket;
- Provide event access;
- Handle refunds or cancellations where applicable;
- Maintain transaction records;
- Provide customer support.
Macbease does not intend to store your complete payment card, banking, or UPI credentials unless expressly stated at the time of collection.
Payment providers may independently process information under their own privacy policies and terms.
